Review of Pretties: Jyapanese-Cosplay-Fan-Magazine (Yes, it's spelled "Jyapanese"):
Pretties is a small production, fan-made cosplay magazine. Very reminiscent of doujinshi, in the layout and "feel" of the magazine. The magazine features cute women in a variety of costumes from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Martian Successor Nadesico, Street Fighter, To Heart and Card Captor Sakura and Revolutionary Girl Utena. We recognized a few well known cosplayers, such as Noin, Riku and Seira. School uniform cosplay is a popular subject in this magazine. The women are shown as "girl-next-door types", who just happen to enjoy dressing up in costume. We were disappointed to learn the photography is mainly BxW, with only four full color pages inside. Some of the pictures are very good, while others appear grainy or overexposed. Less emphasis is placed on the costume, in favor of portrait shots. Manga and little drawings throughout the magazine. While not as informative of the cosplay scene as other publications, we recommend "Pretties: Jyapanese-Cosplay-Fan-Magazine" for their effort and attention to cute women in costume.

Sugar and spice...

Lovely Noin.

Featured models.
This is a difficult magazine to find, due to the small production and quality. A nice fan-made addition to our collection.
