Review of “Cosplation”:
We found this gem at Mandarake USA. Plenty of photographs documenting several cosplay events, including both male and female cosplayers. Comiket 48 report, with many photos of cosplayers wearing anime, manga, video game - even Tokusatsu and idol singer costumes. In terms of the costumes depicted, there is a great range of skill levels to review. Fashion-type photography of characters from King of Fighters, Vampire Hunters, Cutey Honey, Vampire Princess Miyu, The Dirty Pair and Lupin III to name a few. Standout costumes include cute Mew as Ellis, Yumi Tozaki as tough Super Kurara, and Nathuki as a beautiful Asura. Interviews, "Cosplayer Anquete", manga, shopping directories and "How To Costume Play" information on Honey costume construction (detailed images a plus). Hair and makeup tips as well. "Cosplay in America" section, with images of well-known American cosplayers. A "Tokyo Cosprave '95 Report", with excellent images of the participants and sexy Bitora Seishou (Tokyo Cosprave '95 Queen). We highly recommend "Cosplation" for the quality of photography and diversity of cosplayers depicted.
