Japanese Cosplay Trading Cards

Front                  Back

We are proud to present the "Costume Players: Trading Card Collection" from Japan!  Produced by Media Factory.  Celebrity cosplayers, including Michiru, Luke, Ari and Noin are featured on high quality, glossy cards.  Each card provides "Personal Data", such as DOB, blood type, body measurements, Play Career and web site URLs for individual cosplayers.  Includes many cool video game characters from Street Fighter, Bust A Move and KOF.  A wonderful resource for costume makers and collectors alike!

These same cosplay cards generated a great deal of excitement at FanimeCon 2000.
Kevin Lillard documented the first glimpse of these cards not available to the US public.

Printed in full color on both sides!  Heavy card stock with a laminated glossy finish.
Ninety-three (93) cards in a complete set.

These include:

11 chromium “Pair Card” cards with full-length images of 2 costumes;

22 “Pair-S Card” cards, single close-up of each cosplayer in the “Pair Card” cards;

45 “Players Card” cards focus on a single cosplayer, with a close-up and personal information on the back;

9 rare, special gold-and-silver foil embossed, randomly inserted “Unit Card” cards...
(#1-9 found randomly in sealed packs)
These cards seem to only appear in one-out-of-every-three packs.

1 super rare, special gold-and-silver foil embossed, randomly inserted “Unit Card #10” card...
(#10 found randomly in sealed boxes; not in individual packs)
This card seems to only appear in fewer than one-out-of-every-four boxes.

Other cards include:

3 “Title & List” checklist cards.
1 rare “Entry” contest card.

(Front)                (Back)
1 rare “Enquête” mail-away inquiry card.
(This card allows you to choose which three cosplayers you would like to get
autographs from.  Throughout the month of March (2000), 250 winners will
be selected in a "lottery-style" drawing to receive one.)

Our winning "Enquête" card!
An autograph from Roy in her Zagato costume.

The "collectors" box and an individual pack.
