Cosplayer Photograph

Japanese Text, Volume 2, Zero Entertainment, CP410-7004

Review of “Cosplayer Photograph Vol.2” CD-ROM:

Companion CD-ROM, by Zero Entertainment, to the "Cosplayer Photograph" hardcover book series.  Second volume in the disc series.  Photo CD-ROM for both MAC and Windows, featuring more than thirteen cosplayers in a variety of costumes, including characters from King of Fighters, Vampire Hunters, Street Fighter, Samurai Spirits, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, Ah! My Goddess, Rurouni Kenshin, X/1999, Five Star Stories, Slam Dunk, etc.  Also included on this CD-ROM are modeling photos in casual clothing and outdoor pics.  Three sizes of pics to choose from, and slideshow feature.  Lots of photos to review, more than the books.  Overall, the costumes are not as interesting (some are missing parts) and/or well made as the first volume.  Too many modeling photos disrupts the overall cosplay theme.  We get the impression that either the casual pics are "filler" on the CD-ROM, and/or a portfolio for Ms. Keiko Ohsama.  There are way too many unflattering close-ups of Ms. Makoto Tanimura.  The up the nose camera angle doesn't work.  The second volume is weaker than the first.
